Don't be put off by the 1 star this is an excellent basic hotel and you won't be in the room much with all Barcelona has to offer. Clean, very comfy beds, bathroom is small but functioning and a has a great shower over a half bathtub, we stayed in a room with 4 single beds which worked great for our family with teenage boys, fantastic location slap bang between Plaza Catalunya and Universitat metro stops, and close to Las Ramblas. Airport bus stops at Plaza Catalunya so just 5 min walk. 24hour reception and helpful staff. would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends. We arrived earlier than our 3pm check in time but the room was ready, so we were allowed to check in which was awesome, note that the city tax has to be paid in cash so have some Euros on you (0.50 per person per night I think)

The WiFi worked perfectly throughout our stay. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful, and they even allowed us to store our luggage after check-out. Overall, we had a good experience and highly recommend this hotel.
